The history of the Grischuna is closely linked to the construction of the Rhaetian
railway. At the same time as the Albula Railway, the "Hotel Bahnhof" opened in 1903. In the 1960s the owner changed the name to "Hotel Grischuna", because he thought that potential guests might be deterred from the railway noise around his house. Since spring 2024, the Grischuna has been the first MANU Lodge with guests of the tour operator MANU Touristik.
With its "picture-book station", Filisur is the heart of the new Landwasserwelt with numerous other attractions. The village of Filisur as well as the neighboring village of Bergün are known for their pretty houses in the Engadine style, decorated with bay windows and elaborate sgraffito.
Not finally, the railway village of Bergün Filisur is also the starting point for
numerous exceptionally beautiful hikes along the railway lines in the
Albula and Landwasser valleys.
